The community gathered on February 17, 2010 for our annual Losar Sangsol ceremony. This year we inaugurated a new statue of Gesar, which was blessed by Tsartse Rinpoche of Ngor Monastery. The statue is made by a famous artisan from Nepal, who took two and a half years to complete the project. The statue is four feet tall and we have used gold on the statue by Tsak-ser method. The Expense on the statue came around Rs-300,000(including the gold) This year we had special guests for Sang-sol: Tsewang Topgyal, the son of our president and Princess Rinzin Wangmo.
